SCHOOL VISITS: 1 - 6
In my interactive presentation for small or large groups students experience how "cool science stories" and science journalling lend themselves to the rhyme and rhythm of poetry. In a seamless integration of science, language arts, music, and art, I share many possibilities for multisensory, multimedia learning and can include interactive group poetry-writing (for groups of 50 or fewer only).

LESLIE MENTORS KIDS AT ACADEMY OF AEROSPACE AND ENGINEERING
I was so happy to participate in Authors for Earth for the first time this year! I had a wonderful visit with 3rd and 4th graders at CREC Academy for Aerospace Engineering in Rocky Hill, CT. on April 22—Earth Day.
Students were very interested in the critters I research and write about and asked LOTS of great questions. Following votes and tallies at the end of each session, the Ocean Conservancy was the winning non-profit for $950. (photo credit: Ms. Tomasino)
