GLENALLAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Silver Spring, MD USA

DEBORAH GIVES KIDS A CHOICE AT GLENALLIAN

Right after Earth Day, I spoke to large groups from grades k-3 at Glenallan Elementary in Silver Spring, MD. The students were super interested in endangered speciesâ€"I highlighted koalas and bald eagles in conjunction with my nonfiction books Jimmy the Joey, and Beauty and the Beak: How Science, Technology and a 3D-Printed Beak Rescued a Bald Eagle. Glenallan Elementary designated my author honorarium for contribution to Brookside Gardens, a gorgeous site where their students go for lots of environmental education programs.
