SCHOOL VISITS: K - 5
Leslie's books acknowledge the connection between children and animals in this world. School visits focus on what makes a story and a unique way to remember the basic parts of story when children write. Powerpoint shows slides of artwork for books in progress, how a book comes together and shows images from one of her books. Younger audiences follow up with songs and finger plays connected to one or more stories. Older audiences include plotting and brainstorming exercises.

My A4ED visit went well. Here's a pic of me with the big check I made out for the school to the World Wildlife Fund. I'm so proud to do this, hope we get even more people involved next year!
